There are handymen here today, fixing up little things like a stuck window, a door that wouldn’t close completely, painting ceilings, repairing a window sill the dog chewed, etc. I was feeling pretty good. Get these things fixed, stick the house on the market, life is good. But with every sunshine seems to come a little cloud. Or a big cloud. One that says your windows will need to be reglazed. There’s so much reglazing that needs to be done that it will be labor intensive (therefore expensive) and you might want to consider buying new windows instead. I’m not about to sink a ton of money into new windows when I’m not going to live here. Nor do I want to spend that much money on hiring someone to do it. Guess I’ll be learning a new craft. Excuse me while I go to the corner and cry.

I’m sorry! That’s not a great thing to hear when you’re trying to sell your house.

My husband used to be a glass glazer - its hard work.. and cutting glass yourself is scary! Some types of windows can’t even have replacement glass because they are an all-in-one deal.. and those you have to just replace the casing and all.
Good luck!

Selling a house is so stressful! It has to be one of the least fun experiences—I feel for you!
