I was going to say switch to stainless steel or pottery bowls for her food and water. It can take months for it to change back, but people are usually stunned that it works. The pizza/oven thing sounds exactly like something I would do. Make a deliberate choice to ignore something with the idea that it will save me trouble and end up having twice the mess on my hands because of it.
