I have a twitch in my eyelid. So annoying. I was going to take The Man’s truck for an oil change today but I feel like I’m winking at everyone and I don’t want to be winking at the oil dudes. Yeah, that’s a lame excuse but it’s the one I’m using.
Y’all know how often I knit socks, right? And do you know how much I need more yarn?
You know, my only excuse is that it feels like I hardly have any yarn (since mine is you-know-where). And it was pretty. And it has tencel. And merino. And one skein is enough for a pair of socks. And, uh, I was caught in a moment of weakness? It’s Seacoast Merino/Tencel Sock in the Watercolor colorway. Who cares that I have an unfinished sock on the needles (from month’s past), I want to find a pattern and knit with this instead.
Progress has been made on the baby blanket
I’m not really bored with it. Yet. I do find that I need to take breaks from knitting on it. I just don’t like knitting with Cotton Ease. I feel pretty stupid for buying as much of it as I did. But, you know, it was being discontinued and it was on sale and everyone else likes it so must buy it before it’s gone omg! I really wish I could trash the entire stash and start over. That’s a fib, I wouldn’t want to trash the stash. But I will make wiser choices in the future. You know, like buying sock yarn when I don’t knit socks.

I know what you mean about the stash. Sometimes I feel like all that yarn is weighing me down, and making it harder to decide what to knit. I have idly considered get rid of it all, and starting over, only buying yarn as I use it, but lets face it, it just wouldn’t happen!

That’s some pretty sock yarn. Where’d it come from?

Oh, I love the colors in the sock yarn, and the blanket looks really great. I have a ton of that Cotton Ease too, but I haven’t figured out what to do with it yet.

If it makes you feel any better, I have enough sock yarn for at least 7 pairs of socks. I have yet to knit one pair.
I’m with Janice: Where did you get the sock yarn? It’s really pretty.
Well, you’ve surpassed my expectation. I thought you would be bored with the baby blanket blocks by Wednesday. It looks really great!

Oh man, I am besotted with that yarn. Of course, I do knit socks and I’m thinking of dropping the pretense that I knit anything else. Oh sure, I used to knit sweaters and blankets and shawls. But now even when I’ve got a few socks in progress, all I can think about is the pair I’d like to be knitting next. And if I had that yarn, wild horses couldn’t make me finish that blanket. Who am I kidding? Wild horses couldn’t make me consider a cotton blanket. You’re a stronger woman than I!

Love this blanket! Is there any way I can get this pattern? I’m looking for the dimensions and stitch, and how to assemble.
Thanks,
