beautiful socks! In my experience you pooling or striping just happens and it may be due to where you started but how are you to know what will happen? It seems to be the luck of the draw or a higher sock power that decides it….LOL….

Both pooling and socks that don’t match make me neurotic.. I wish I had the answer. I hear that needle size makes a big difference.. especially with things like STR.

With variegated yarns, it makes stuff all difference for me. When I knit Em’s pomatomus socks, one pooled, and one striped. They looked like odd socks. She doesn’t care, but it drove me near insane.
