Happenings
May 8th, 2007 by Restless Knitter
A lot of things have happened and are about to happen and if I were to write in depth, it would take up a whole page. So bullet points
- I killed the laptop. This has put a serious dent in my blog surfing and, lucky you, blog posting.
- I met up with Janice, along with some other knitters, for some knitting time. Janice gave me a TON of weaving stuff. I want so badly to play with it all. Thank you so much Janice!
- I finished the back of Loden Mist and blocking was a success. I’ve started on the front but am kind of at a standstill. I made the back longer than the pattern said to, and now I’m not sure if I should make the bottom of the front longer, or wait until the armhole area. Sounds like a simple decision right? It would be if it weren’t for the front band getting wider as it goes up. Do I start widening where I’m supposed to, or do I knit the extra rows before making it wider?
- I made another anklet. This one fits and I love it. Now I just need to get out of the wearing jeans.
- I’ve also been knitting shopping bags. I haven’t completed any, don’t know if I will. It’s just busy work for the hands when I’m taking a break from the house stuff.
- I’m going through boxes of yarn and books, trying to decide which ones I might want to work with once I get to Matchbox Apartment. The plan is to get rid of some stash yarn and do mindless things.
There most likely won’t be any posts for awhile. I’m going to Small Town next week to see the baby and pick up the younger daughter, who’s riding to CA with me and the pets. I’m pretty sure my comp will be in storage until we find a house and if the laptop can’t be fixed, I’ll be computer-less. Ack!

Enjoy the trip! You’ll be missed, but I’m looking forward to reading about your CA adventures.

Is there a band in the back, too?
Being computerless doesn’t sound like any fun, but I suppose you’ll be busy taking in all the sights anyway. Maybe you can find a library and post once in a while.

Don’t sort the yarn, wait until you get to CA, then you’ll have to check out all the new yarn stores, and you can buy something for a new project instead
