Now that you're settling in, perhaps we should explore some "visiting" options. I'd love to have you and the hub down for BBQ one weekend soon!

Aww. We miss you, too. I don't see myself in GA forever, either, but getting into that "this will be fine for now" zone helps. There's something about the shallow and transient feeling of SoCal that makes it hard to feel like you belong, I think I understand how you're feeling. I can't wait to see you when you come out for SAFF, and I bet when you get home again you'll feel better about it.

I'm sorry you're feeling down. It's really hard moving to a new place. (I hated it here in Georgia when I first moved and would have given anything to move back to Kentucky.) Does it make you feel any better to know I miss you a lot, too?

Repeat after me:
"So far, so good." That's what I always say, whether I'm knitting something or working on something. That way you don't piss off the ______ gods (insert subject of choice.)

Hell, I miss you too. I'm an old hermit, and you're one of the folks I feel pretty comfy with. But pretty much everything gets better with enough time. Hang in there. Remind yourself that it's been nearly 100 degrees with fairly high humidity here.

I hope you're feeling more settled soon. Just think I'll be there in four months and thirteen days!! ;)

But who's counting?

Ahhhh...how about you come out here to the Prairie and visit for a bit. We can knit and dye yarn and go on a field trip to Brown Sheep and Denver and Taos (if you come out in October) to the wool festival. Just fondling fiber will make you feel better.
Now, explain what was wrong with the Pink Thingy? It will serve a purpose, I am sure. Get a porcelain baby doll, put it in a car seat in the back of your car, and park in the "Mom's Only" parking!
