Leather seats suck. When we bought our cars, we asked for cloth seats and they seemed to think we were off our rockers. We were like, look, we have a dog that likes to ride and the last thing we want is to have the leather all scratched and gouged up. Plus it's hot and sticky. Bleh.

Weird, I love yarn, too!

We're considering putting in a gas stove (gas for the range, electric for the oven), but now I'm wondering if that's the best idea. I haven't cooked much with gas, so I don't know which I like better.

But, I do love my leather sofa. It always looks cleaner than my old cloth one and the pet hair thing is an advantage. I like the way it looks, too. Plus we got really comfy cushions when we bought it, so we kind of sink down just a bit when we sit down. Nice!

I must admit, I love gas and I love leather...nice, supple leather. Where we live, the electricity goes out often. Often meaning in the dead of winter during a blizzard. So, without gas, we wouldn't have warm food, water from melted snow, or the little bit of heat it produces. As far as the leather, I am like your DH, allergies abound. With leather, you can wipe it down and TADA, no dust or pollen. And, Cool Whip is one that I adore! It didn't get put in my awful food post because it is so gooooood! That, and it makes the Jello go down easier.

And I thought I was the only one that hated those 2 things. Sounds like our husbands could be related! He loves leather chairs, I freeze or stick to them. He swears food cooks faster on gas, I say no way. Yup, I'm with you.

I have recently been forced to use an electric burner and I like it more, as well, for all those reasons. I will never be able to have gas again because my husband has no sense of smell. Yeah, add that to the list. When you turn gas down low, sometimes the flame goes out. Then you smell it, unless you're my darling love. Then you just leave the pot there and wonder why you're dizzy an hour later.

I hate all cooking, so the burner makes no difference to me ;)
I had electric, moved to gas. Hated the gas at first, then moved back to electric, and wanted back the gas. I think i just like to be difficult!
I love my Dyson too. It's the only vacuum that gets all the damn rabbit hair.
