Up in a puff of smoke
I got up to the bust of Cherie Amour and, shocker, it was too big. My gauge swatch told a fib. It also might have been under a little stress so I won’t be too mad at it. I plan to try again later but best laid plans and all that, don’t be holding your breath.
Younger daughter asked for a couple of scarves. She wants them thick and looong. I could knit a million scarves until someone asks for one, then I can’t find a pattern that I think would work. She wants squishy, I want fun and lace and cables and color. I settled for the multi-directional scarf* in Patons SWS*. It’s too bad that 2 skeins does not make a long scarf. I’ll finish it anyway and find something else for her. For someone that has so much yarn in the stash, I’m having a terrible time finding something she’d like. She may get a long pink or lavender or blue or variegated lace scarf whether she likes it or not. Who wants to place bets that she’ll get a few scarves from Target?
I still haven’t bought my plane tickets for SAFF. Part of the reason is that I still haven’t decided if I want to stop in Atlanta first. Tickets to Atlanta are cheaper but then there are additional hotel and rental car fees. If I fly straight to SAFF, it costs a little more but I don’t have to do any driving and I can get right to the hotel. If I haven’t made up my mind by Saturday, it’s going to be coin flipping time.
*It’s too late at night to link. If you really haven’t heard of these or want to know about them, Google is your friend.

No, please don’t stop knitting Cherie Amour! It’s too pretty.
I’d probably fly straight to SAFF unless there are things you want to do here. You can’t knit while you drive, so that time would be wasted.

Actually, I should have said that if I was only thinking about you, you should go straight to SAFF. If I think about me, then you should come to ATL first.
(Except that I’m out of town for at least part of that time.)
