Our Dobie used to do that. She was especially bad after walking through the pasture and getting the dust and grass pollens on her feet. We finally had to put a cone on her head and let her heal. Once she healed she was okay for a while. The cone was a constant thing around here. That was the only thing that helped. (she would pull off her socks when nobody was looking and lick away)

I’m not sure if you’re in GA or not (I think that’s where you moved to, right?) but, we have a pug with the worst allergies ever and the 2 vets we took her to didn’t have a clue what to do because what they had tried didn’t work. Wanted us to spend lots of money to have allergy testing done to find out exactly what it was she was allergic to. Not going to do that, so she gets a bath once a week and lots of bag balm rubbed into whatever sores she makes. If you figure it out, let me know.

Since I’m waay more of a cat person than a dog person.. I think the kitten socks on a dog are hysterical. I’d jokingly call you ‘cruel’ but I’m too busy giggling..
Sorry that the pup has allergies… I wonder if it could be something in the carpets?

My cat did the same thing except it was on her back, right at the base of her tail. I started putting flea medication on her once a month and it stopped the problem. My vet said she was probably allergic to something in the environment and the flea stuff controlled the itching. Hope it helps!

You put cat socks on Bella?! No wonder the poor girl is lying on the floor with her head down. I’ll be on the lookout for dog socks for her.
