So long and thanks for all the fish
I’m not going anywhere, I just happen to be watching the movie that it comes from. Bonus points if you know what movie it is.
I went to the Sale this morning and I behaved myself for the most part. Who could resist Cherry Tree Hill at 50% off?
2400 yards of lace yarn goodness. I also picked up an orange Chibi, not because I needed it but because it’s orange and I don’t have one. Good reason, right? Just call me stupid behind my back, m’kay.
I am seriously disillusioned sometimes. Poinsettia, made in squares, this will be fast, I’ll be done with this in no time, how smart am I to pick something like that looks difficult but is so easy. HA! This is probably why I have an excessive amount of yarn. I think I knit faster than I do. Kind of like your eyes being bigger than your stomach at the buffet. Anyhoo, it’s not coming along as fast as I was imagining it would.
It’s not a hard pattern, it’s just hard for my fingers to comprehend thin yarn on needles that seem too large for it. If I were doing this on a size 3 or 4, I’d probably be finished with the first square. (Ha! again.)

You know, when I saw she had CTH on sale, the first thing I wondered was “wonder if she has any lace yarn??” Did you buy it all???
Hmm, I’m a little disappointed to hear that the Poinsettia pattern calls for doing individual squares. I figured she’d have you do all 4 at once, from the center out. Oh well.

Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, volume of the same name. hee hee I DID NOT go to the sale, but I did get more yarn in the mail today. Why is it that the spousal unit is always home when the yarn arrives?
