Fudge

June 20th, 2006 by Restless Knitter

I started something for me.

I started with the sleeve, mostly because I hate being stuck on sleeve island but also because I wanted to check the gauge and fit. The fit was bad. The cat could’ve crawled up in the wrist and hid in there it was so big. I decided to do it my way and adjusted the cast on count, which means I had to adjust the increases. Add to that, I’m not getting row gauge (hate you Gauge!) so I may have to adjust the decreases for the sleeve cap. I’ve done it as it’s written but put in some lifelines in case I need to rip back and change them. I won’t know if I need to do that until I can get at least the back and possibly one of the fronts done. I’m hoping it all fits together and I don’t have to do too much more fudging of the pattern.

Only one person showed up last night but I still had a good time. We’re going to change the night to Thursday starting next week and see if that goes better. If not, then we’ll be content with just the two of us.

If you meet there on Thursday next week, count on me! I have a standing appt. to walk dogs just up the road from there on Thursdays. I rested all afternoon and just kinda lazed around last night. Today I’m feeling MUCH better!

    Jill,

Thanks for organizing the knit get together in Duluth/Alpharetta, I really enjoyed your company, conversation and knitting. Take care.
