Lean mean cleaning machine
Sunday, June 18th, 2006I’ve gone on a cleaning spree for the last couple of days so not much knitting. I should rephrase that. I went on a cleaning spree a couple of days ago, then I printed a bunch of patterns that I’d had saved on the computer and put them in binders. Having them on the computer is great because it saves paper and expensive ink, but it’s also nice to have them on paper and organized so I can look through them whenever I want. I ran across several patterns that I’d forgotten about, some of which I really want to knit. Anyhoo, it feels so much better to have the house looking decent. I don’t know why it’s so hard for two adults to keep stuff picked up. There must be a Clutter Fairy that comes in while we aren’t looking. The Fairy likes to pile up the mail, leave knitting magazines and books all around my knitting spot, pulls out yarn, dirty up the dishes and leave them in the sink, pull hair off the pets, and all kinds of other stuff. It’s embarrassing. The Man told me I should invite someone that I recently met over some time and I was horrified at the thought of someone seeing our mess. It’s much better now, but I’m waiting to see how long I can keep the Clutter Fairy at bay.
Tomorrow night will be the first knitting meetup I talked about a few days ago. I’m so excited! If you’re in the Alpharetta or Duluth area, please stop by. We’ll be meeting at Higher Grounds from 7pm - 9pm. I may ask if anyone is opposed to changing it to Thursdays. There’s one person that Monday is totally out for, and another that would rather it be Thursday. Wednesdays are out for a couple of people. I know I can’t make everyone happy, but I’d really like for anyone that wants to come to be able to make it. I’m so not good at organizing things like this but I really wanted something closer to home.
This is what happens when you leave one of these

alone with your favorite yarn snippers on the coffee table

Thankfully they weren’t expensive and I even had a spare one. Normally she’s very good at about staying home out of her crate. This particular day I had been gone quite a bit and I guess it was her way of telling me she really didn’t care for being left for that long. It could have been worse. She could have gotten to the poinsettia squares and yarn much easier.
And now I’m going to rant (and play with the More tag)
