Still going by the motto that it doesn’t count if it’s small, I again started something new.

You know I’ve really got to be avoiding something if I start a sock because, as I mentioned before, I don’t get into socks like some of you do. (I swear, some of you can whip ‘em out faster than I can walk around the block!) Any guesses as to what I’m avoiding? Yes, it’s the stole. I am not enjoying the edging at all. I’ve been forcing myself to do a couple of rows here and there and it’s just irritating me to no end. If I’m not enjoying it, then why do it? I have two choices: 1) put it away for a long while, risking that it will become a permanent ufo, or 2) end it with a few rows of garter.

The bathroom is done! Well, the patching/sanding/priming/painting are done. Not really a color I’d choose if we were staying. I’d like to see how a creamy coffee color would look. Maybe in the next house.

That dark hole in the top right is where I haven’t put the light fixture back in yet. Because it’s gold. The faucets and towel bars were all shiny silver, and the hardware on the cabinet doors are gold with off white ceramic type stuff. Since there’s a skylight in there and we don’t use that room anyway, there’s no rush to get any of that stuff put on. When the time comes, I’ll get things that actually go together.

Next up is a spare bedroom that has a peachy orange wallpaper.  Or, I might just finish a pair of socks after all.
