Has it really been a month?

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

There’s nothing really new to tell as far as knitting goes because I haven’t done it for a month. Zip, zilch, nada.

Right now, I’m in full gotta find a house NOW dammit mode. Call me spoiled but living in this Crackerbox isn’t cutting it. The dog has to go out on a leash and misses being able to run. We tried going to a dog park but she doesn’t like them. The jackass that drives the apartment’s yard waste truck hit my car, busting out the taillight cover and creating a nice little dent by the license plate. I can’t prove it because I didn’t see him do it but I’ve seen how he tries to maneuver in the parking lot and the damage matches the truck.

I was severely disillusioned by the whole storage thing. If anyone assures you that the belongings of a 4 bedroom house will fit into a 10×15 storage unit, they are lying right out of their ass. We had to upgrade to a 10×20 and we didn’t take any mattresses, boxsprings, couches, loveseats, or recliners. We didn’t even have furniture in 2 of the bedrooms. That unit is packed to the max. I thought since we didn’t take much furniture, I’d be able to move boxes around and find things. Wrong! I’ve had to buy things that I know are in storage. Dog nail clippers and brush, kitchen utensils, spices, etc.

Guess what! Yesterday was my 5 week anniversary. That’s right. I haven’t had a cigarette in 5 weeks. After 20 years of smoking and numerous attempts at quitting, I’ve finally kicked the habit. Yay!
