Restless Knitter

Another neighbor introduced herself. The conversation was a little odd. A few bits (with things that I would like to have said in italics):

Neighbor: Are you two married?
Us: Yes (NO, we’re living in sin!!)
N: Oh. You make such a cute couple!
Us: Thanks (At least she didn’t say we were ugly. I guess)

Neighbor: Are you enjoying the house? It’s a beautiful house.
Us: We’re still unpacking and getting settled. (No, it’s too small, it’s dirty, the layout sucks balls, don’t get me started.)
N: Well, I know the Smith’s (name changed to protect…) gave you a good deal on the house because they’re very religious people.
U: We see. (So was Jim Bakker)
